Research Experiences

Stroke Prediction based on Integrated Models of Biological Risk Factors

Researcher, Author, Supervisor: Prof. Todd Ogden, Columbia University

· Researched on how different risk factor combinations affected stroke incidence.

· Utilised R studio to construct two-stroke risk prediction models based on Linear Regression and Random Forest algorithms. Examined the optimal variable combinations with backward elimination, 10-fold cross-validation, and hyperparameter tuning.

A Multi-modal seq2seq Chatbot Framework

Researcher, Supervisor: Prof. Yi Yang, Tsinghua University 

· Conducted research on the impact of COVID-19 on adolescents’ mental health.

· Proposed a multi-modal chatbot seq2seq framework, which divides the mental states of young people into different types through multi-modal information such as text and images entered by users in the chatbot.

Hemodynamic effects of size and location of basilar artery fenestrations associated to pathological implications

Researcher, Research Assistant,  Supervisor: Prof. Duanduan Chen, Beijing Institute of Technology 

· Studied fluid and solid dynamics of the cardiovascular system and biomedical imaging. Learned modelling of the aorta using Mimics 19.0.

· Built the 3D BA model by segmentation and surface reconstruction from the Xuanwu Hospital case utilizing Mimics 19.0 (Materialize, Belgium).
